Job Overview

We’re actively looking for a Business Development Manager specifically focusing on working with HRDs and Wellbeing Managers within companies across the UK. You will be focused on new business development and managing inbound requests from customers we support as well as outbound business development. Our customers range from small and medium businesses to enterprise organisations like Accenture & Deloitte based in every corner of the UK.

No day will be the same and it is a role you can shape from the start, you will be working with one of the business owners and the Finance Lead. 
 

​

Responsibilities & Duties

​ 

  • Involves working closely with the Wellbeing Operations and Community Lead to ensure we are one Lyfe. 

  • Growing a new business pipeline and actively seek new industries and organisations to support

  • Managing client requests and translating their needs into action

  • Holding client calls, meetings and follow up discussions with organisations

  • Creating bespoke client proposals post meetings to turn their needs into a strategic plan/ programme of support

  • Maintaining close client relationships for repeat work

  • Managing the CRM system and leveraging our existing network to nurture new sales opportunities

  • Working closely with the other account managers 

  • Working closely with marketing teams to share testimonials and feedback to feed our content plan

Depending on the applicant

​

  • Launch the wellbeing partners community with Wellbeing Lead.

  • Designing and curating a series (live virtual events) of Lyfe events that are accessible by all our employee users as well as our wellbeing partners, the purpose of this is to introduce new modalities of wellbeing to employees, but also use the data and insight for new business development. This may also become general public events that may also be shared with prospective customers

  • Working with wellbeing partners to share referral model and generate new business this way

  • Sharing any platform or service improvement or support requests to the Product/development team if technology-related

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

​

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in B2B sales and business development or Account Management within a corporate environment

  • Ideally has corporate experience working withing inclusion, diversity or wellbeing, Employee Relations or HR 

  • Relationship Management experience

  • Highly adaptive, entrepreneurial, and pragmatic — able to turn ideas into action

  • Extremely competent in juggling several tasks at once and ruthlessly prioritising according to the company’s needs

  • Efficient with limited resources 

  • Confident and experienced with managing up

  • Receptive to feedback delivered in real-time

  • Excited by, rather than repelled by, high levels of ambiguity and open-ended challenges (startup life)

  • Desired but not essential, experience of building a business development team with process​

Details of Employment ​

  • Full time

  • 25 days holiday per year

  • Salary: £30k-£35k
